James has spent a career working for global technology and banking companies. He has lived in South America, the UK and the USA. He also developed technology to prevent the illegal logging of rainforests, which took him to many dangerous and exciting places, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon and the Amazon basin. Snowflake is the result of time spent on aeroplanes, travelling for his business. It combines his love for data with his enjoyment of sport, especially boxing. When stuck for ideas, his punchbag at home often helps him find inspiration.
