Santomense's Quality Policy aims to guide the various activities planned or conducted to ensure that products and processes meet the expected needs. We therefore understand that the best intentions of authorities, organizations and individuals can only bring limited results if there is no organized and structured policy framework. A comprehensive quality policy is needed to meet emerging global needs in competitive industry, trade, the environment and consumer health and safety. Such a policy framework is particularly necessary when small, micro and medium-sized industries must be alerted not only to survive, but also to compete in an emerging new world trade order. São Tomé and Príncipe intends to align its quality policy with the ISO 2021-2025 action plan for developing countries. This plan states that the global community is facing increasing social and economic challenges, and São Tomé and Príncipe is no exception.
