Having done around forty-five years in fostering, I think I can safely say that I do not know anyone else who has been through the same. No one that I know of has fostered for forty-five years, has had an allegation, came through it, and carried on fostering! Following the trauma of the allegation, we took part in several TV programs and the making of teaching videos for carers and social workers and ended up lecturing for different authorities and gave nationwide telephone support to families who'd had allegations.
