Autorenporträt
The author behind So You Want to Be a Vegetarian?: A Step-by-step Guide to a Plant-Based Diet, Jordan A. DeLoach, is a graduate of Tennessee State University with a degree in Health Sciences. Having gone through the United States Army's Health Care Specialist course receiving credentials as a certified Emergency Medical Technician, later becoming a certified personal trainer, and eventually starting his own health and wellness company: M.B.S. Health & Wellness LLC, the author has a rounded track record in the realm of health. Growing up in Detroit, MI and witnessing the lack of access to nutritious food, yet an abundance of fast-food restaurants/liquor stores, dilapidated neighborhoods, condemned schools, and the enormous amount of emotional and psychological stress, illness is something he has seen all too often. With his mother experiencing thyroid cancer and later undergoing brain surgery to remove a tumor, to his father having open-heart surgery shortly after, a time for change was (is) much needed in our approach to health! The author made the transition and commitment to a plant-based diet nearly five years ago and is committed to helping others reach their nutritional, physical, and spiritual goals.
