Autorenporträt
Carolyn Dolan is a licensed physical therapist and an owner of a private practice of integrative physical therapy in Reno, Nevada. Her traditional education includes a bachelor of science in biological systems engineering, masters of science and doctorate degree in physical therapy, with additional certification in mechanical diagnosis and treatment (MDT) from the McKenzie Institute of America. She has co-authored a chapter section on the impact of nutrition on musculoskeletal healing for "Repetitive Stress Pathology: Soft Tissue" in Pathology & Interventions in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation due out 2016. She is also a full-time mother of three young kids, blogger, and occasional Crossfitter. Her business motto is, "We empower you to SOAR on your own," creating an independent rehabilitation strategy. With love of the outdoors, learning and health, she spends her time trying to live by the simple principles with her dogs, cats, kids, and husband. On the Dolan Funny Farm, she and her husband try to keep the honeybees, chickens, and garden protected from local wildlife, which includes bears, coyotes, hawks, raccoons, and pesky squirrels. She is currently working on her masters of science in holistic nutrition from Hawthorn University in order to offer holistic health consultation services in addition to her physical therapy practice.
