The only towns in Lublin County are Be yce, which lies 23 km (14 mi) west of Lublin, and Bychawa, 26 km (16 mi) south of Lublin. The county covers an area of 1,679.42 square kilometres (648.4 sq mi). As of 2006 its total population is 140,562, out of which the population of Be yce is 7,054, that of Bychawa is 5,285, and the rural population is 128,223.
