The main aim of the study was to investigate the social and cultural issues affecting women entrepreneurs in Nyeri town that hinder the growth of entrepreneurship development. The study will establish measures and possible solutions. To enhance effectiveness of the study, the following objectives of the study will drawn; To investigate how access to credit facilities affects women entrepreneurs in Nyeri town, to find out how gender stereotyping affects women entrepreneurs in Nyeri town, to investigate how gender discrimination affects women entrepreneurs in Nyeri town, to find out how limited knowledge of financial management affects women entrepreneurs in Nyeri town. Each objective will be examined to reveal the social and cultural issues affecting women entrepreneurs in Nyeri town. The sample population consists of 52 women entrepreneurs from 4 locations / markets who will provide answers by filling the questionnaires and answering through interviews. Questionnaires, interview and observation will be the tools used in data collection while bar charts, tables, pie charts will be used to analyze the data.
