This thesis was written in the course of my political science studies and completed in 2018. The intention to deal with it is based on the fact that I am professionally active in both the political and the sporting field. Since 2003, I have been a full-time employee of the SPÖ in the field of adult education. Politically, I am a district councillor in the 17th district of Vienna, where I also specialise in adult education and sport. In my function as chair of the sports section of the SPÖ, I organised various sports events for several years, including the Vienna Running Cup, which in 2011 became the largest running series in the world with 31 individual events. As a second professional pillar, I would like to mention my work in the field of sports management. Among other things, I was club manager of the Wiener Sportklub, which plays in the regional league, in the 2007/08 season and club manager and vice-president of the First Vienna Football Club 1894, Austria's first football club, in the 2012 to 2014 seasons.
