Security researchers can continually offer better solutions to online threats; they can also discover new security threats to address. We believe that in order to improve the present solutions, the next step is to create synergy among the different security solutions. This will create more robust and effective security solutions for detecting fake profiles, spammers, phishing attacks, socware, and other threats. Another possible direction is to utilize various them various Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and temporal analysis algorithms, combining them with existing solutions to provide better and more accurate protection against online social networks threats. The privacy issues become more alarming when considering the nature of online social network.
