This research was based on the need to know the reasons why social networks are used for tourism promotion and their development in the tourism sector on the Paraná Coast. Therefore, the main objective was to determine these motives, evaluate them, make known the advantages and disadvantages of the use of social networks for this purpose, learn in depth about the social networks and the tools inherent to each one. The study area was the Paraná Coast, from which the tourist towns of La Paz Santa Elena, Villa Urquiza, Paraná, Diamante, Valle María, Libertador San Martin, Victoria and Nogoyá, which make up the tourist corridor, were selected. The research was able to determine what were the reasons that the protagonists of this work had when promoting their localities as tourist sites through social networks.
