Teaching activities books are wonderful resources for providing ideas to teachers to enliven their lessons and help their students connect to the curriculum. These books, however, are difficult to locate or search for by curriculum topic and grade level. Social Studies Teaching Activities Books: An Annotated Resource Guide helps solve this dilemma by bringing together a selected list of teaching activities books for one area of the curriculum - social studies. Primary emphasis is placed on those books that are written for the elementary and middle school grades. These annotated books appear in the main body of the book and are arranged by curriculum area topic and grade level. Thus, as the teacher is planning his or her lesson on a particular topic, this book can be consulted to locate books that will give various teaching and learning activities for that topic and grade level desired.
