Louise Harms holds the Chair of Social Work and is the Head of the Department of Social Work in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne. She is also the Deputy Head of the School of Health Sciences. She has taught and researched at The University of Melbourne for many years, after having worked in medical social work and the University's student and staff counselling service. Her research and teaching interests are in trauma and resilience, and health, disability and mental health.
