This book is done on the socio-economic challenges of small holder farmers in Robe Woreda, Arsi Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia. The main targets of the study is to identify the major socio-economic challenges faced during there agricultural practice specially related with poor agricultural practice emanate from traditional way of farming, low capital to adopt modern agricultural technologies, lack of infrastructure, poor financial services and poor market accessibility for there agricultural products. To do so, different sampling techniques were employed 150 households were selected randomly for the study from these sample kebeles including both male and female headed households. The necessary data were generated both from primary and secondary sources to answer the research question. The data collected was analyzed and interpreted qualitatively and quantitatively depending on available data obtained. Based the findings of the study, both short term and long term actions were recommended to ensure better agricultural productivity of smallholder farmers in the study area.
