Handicraft is a type of work where useful and decorative devices are made completely by hand or using only simple tools. Usually the term is applied to traditional means of making goods. Sukanta Sarkar has done M.Sc (Economics) from Tripura University and Ph.D in 2013. He qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) in December 2006. He presented many research papers in various seminars, conferences and symposiums. At present, he is working as Lecturer, ICFAI University, Agartala, Tripura, India.
