Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs) are formed by non-enzymatic glycation and oxidative reactions, and accumulate in vessels and tissue with age. AGEs concentration accumulation leads to structural and functional modifications that usually promote the development of cardiovascular and renal complications associated with diabetes.
