This book is a study of the socio-professional reintegration of young people in difficult situations. The problem of the vulnerability of young people has its origins in a context of socio-economic crises, which has led young people to be resourceful. Following the resurgence of the phenomenon of street children in Cameroon in general, and in the city of Yaoundé in particular, the study aims to examine the mechanisms for taking care of street children and young people released from prison in order to ensure their socio-professional reintegration. The latter, supported by a range of measures developed by specialised support centres, symbolises the culmination of the support process. Documentary research and direct observation have revealed a multitude of texts and actions designed to provide psychosocial and economic support for this category of young people, which unfortunately do not provide an effective response to the critical problem of providing adequate and appropriate assistance to each young person living on the streets.
