Random and non random sampling technique was used in selecting hundred (100) respondents for the study. Questionnaires were employed to gather data for the study. The data gathered were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The key findings identified by the study were that: girls at the tender age start working earlier than boys of the same range and children of all kinds were engage in domestic and economic activities after school. Lack of fruitful job or occupations and financial hardship compel parents to let their children engage in petty trading and economic activities.Based on the evidence from the study, it is recommended that, encouraging institutional linkage to deal with implementation and enforcement of children policy is necessary.
