In treatment planning, the proper sequence of site development of the hard and soft tissue needs to be made with the biology of the final restoration in mind. Soft tissue augmentation either at implant placement, or at the second stage or after the implant placement as rescue operation can be predictably achieved with APF, APF/V, FGG, SCTG, and their modifications. Thus, Soft tissue augmentation around dental implants represents a substantial part in ensuring long-term functional and esthetic stability.
