Soft Urgency validates the fluidity of the human emotional experience by embodying that people, like nature, also have seasons. This collection escorts you along a cyclic, visceral journey that is both personal and relatable. The selected pieces and the narrative they weave together will invoke and soothe a cacophony of emotions. It begins in the heat and connection of summer, followed by humanity and loss in fall and the stagnant and violent shape of winter, concluding in the knowingness and healing created during spring. This collection of Megan Leick's poetry is a scream into the void, the knowing embrace of a friend, the systematic unpacking of boxes, and a typewriter love letter.
