Shamsiddin Kamoliddin is a doctor of historical sciences, professor, Tashkent State Pedagogical University (Uzbekistan). He is a researcher of Arab, Persian and Turkic sources on medieval history and historical geography of Central Asia in the period of Turkic Kaganate (mid-6th to mid-8th centuries) and Arab Caliphate (mid-8th to early 13th centuries).
