The objective of this work is to assess the variation of macro nutrients (N, P, K, Mg, Ca), OM, and soil pH along the slope gradient to improve crop production and to make a fertilizer recommendation of Irish potato crop in Nyabihu hilly land. Soil samples were collected in 0-30 cm soil depth after one year of radical terraces establishment and one season of Irish potatoes cropping. 9 soil sub-samples to form 3 composites samples were collected systematically (horizontally method). After soil laboratory analysis of pH water, pH KCL, available phosphorus, organic matter, organic carbon, total nitrogen, exchangeable calcium, magnesium and calcium and exchangeable potassium were conducted and the results were computed in excel sheet and then imported in gen start software 14 to carry out the ANOVA and mean separation for the parameter for which there is a significant difference among parameter means.
