Soil phosphorous is one of the very critical plant nutrients derived from natural deposits are scarcely distributed around the world. It appears that the lack of adequate deposit limits technologies proposed for achieving sustainable food grain production. Therefore, efficient recycling of phosphorus from natural resources is imperative. The non-point phosphorous source are leached into lake and marine ecosystem and gets richer with time. In this book, source and sink of phosphorous for major marine and lacustrine ecosystem is narrated. Further, phosphorous transformation in sediments of marine and inland lake system is also given. Additionally, the possible methods of recycling the phosphorous deposits also given with citing major and recent research articles.
