From these investigation results obtained are the soils of study area Clay to clay loam in texture with good water holding capacity. Soil colour is found dark brown, grayish brown, dark gryish brown, brown and very dark gray. Bulk density and Particle density is normal and favourable for the crop growth. The organic turmeric growing soils in Vasmat tahsil showed pH of the soil was normal to slightly alkaline in nature. Electrical conductivity of the soil in safe limit for crop growth Organic carbon status was medium to high and CaCO3 were non-calcareous to calcareous in nature. Low nitrogen, low to medium phosphorus and high potassium content in these soil. Medium to high sulphur and sufficient range of exchangeable calcium and magnesium. DTPA extractable micronutrients, iron, copper and manganese content was in optimum level except zinc was deficient in some soils, available boron medium to high level. On the basis of socio- economic study of organic growing farmers is carried on the basis of prepared questionnaire,the results obtained are, middle age group farmers are highly enthusiastic towards organic crop adoption.Land holding was semi medium to small.
