Solar Orbiter (SOLO) and Solar Probe Plus (SPP) will be the first space missions to study this region in detail. SOLO and SPP will allow us to analyze solar energetic particles (SEPs) from a very close distance to the Sun, simplifying the effects of propagation in interplanetary space and allowing the observation of solar energetic particle events with very high statistics. The scientific objective of this work is to characterize which are the different processes that originate the SEPs events and their transport along the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF). This book corresponds to the Master's Thesis that the author carried out at the University of Barcelona (Institute of Cosmos Sciences).
