B.A. Summer is the fiction pen name of Jane Peyton. Jane loves novels with magical elements and loveable colourful characters from a community that makes her want to live there, which is why she wrote Sole Brethren. That and the fact she inherited her Dad's feet and is desperate for a genius to develop Footloose, her fictitious shoe technology in real life so she can the wondrous shoes designed by central character Cordelia Tanner. Jane started her working life in fashion PR with shoe clients including Salvatore Ferragamo, and after careers in TV production and journalism she founded the School of Booze alcoholic drinks consultancy. Writing as Jane Peyton she has published several non-fiction books about architecture, design, and alcohol. Sole Brethren: If The Shoe Fits is her first published fiction and she is currently writing a sequel from her home in Brighton, UK.
