Given this situation, the following question arises: To what extent can solid waste management guarantee sustainability? With the studies carried out, new sustainable forms of solid waste management can be adopted, guaranteeing the maximisation of reuse and recycling, thereby reducing environmental impacts and guaranteeing effective initial and final disposal.
