A clear view on basic fluid dynamics is given in the first chapter of the book. Three research problems have been carefully chosen to understand the basic mechanism of solute transport phenomena in longitudinal direction, and to predict the dispersion coefficient, mean concentration distribution for all time period using finite-difference technique.

Dr. Kajal Kumar Mondal received PhD from ISI, Kolkata in 2006. In 2009, he was awarded BOYSCAST fellowship by DST, Govt of India for post doctoral research at NUIG, Ireland. He has published several research papers in various international journals. He is serving as an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics, Alipurduar College, India.
