Abel Kurura Tinega was born at Tombe town, Nyamira County, Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Education Science degree, and specialized in Mathematics and Physics, from Kenyatta University (KU), Nairobi, Kenya and a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), Nairobi, Kenya.
