Marion McLeod is the coeditor of the Oxford University Press anthology of New Zealand women's fiction, Women's Work. Bill Manhire is the director of the creative-writing program at Victoria University of Wellington, has won numerous awards for his poetry, and was the inaugural Te Mata Estate New Zealand Poet Laureate in 1996 and 1997.
