DAVID SAYRE is the father of five children and many business and charitable ventures, an engineer who has led advances in communication and energy technologies for thirty years. He is the author of The Great Improbability, a novel (Peter E. Randall, 2010), and Flatland, an upcoming children's book illustrated by Rebecca Emberley.
