Autorenporträt
Our author, Andrea Dannenberg, graduated from Aurora University with a BA in Elementary Education, and from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a MSE Reading Emphasis. Andrea has taught reading at all age levels from preschool to the University level for 46 years. Andrea and her husband, Gerald, have been married for 45 years. They have three sons, and two adopted daughters (Ukraine). Their adventurous story of international adoption inspired the creation of this book. It was written in 2000 before Anastasias adoption. However, with the many responsibilities of teaching, rearing two young daughters, and three sons, the story was placed on hold until Anastasias eighteen birthday. Andrea felt this story would inspire parents, and help young children understand that it doesnt matter how your family is made, or how long it takes. A family is a family! Somethings Missing is Andreas first publication, but as she enjoys writing for children, we can expect to see more stories like this in the future!
