Autorenporträt
Cesar Guemes ha sido escritor y periodista. Su desempeno profesional inicio en 1980 en medios impresos y electronicos. Estudio Periodismo y Comunicacion Colectiva en la unam, hizo cursos de literatura contemporanea en la Escuela Normal Superior y es egresado del taller de letras de Felipe San Jose. Obtuvo las becas de jovenes creadores del cnca y del Centro Mexicano de Escritores. A la par de su trabajo periodistico, recogido en muy diversos libros, ha dado a conocer obras literarias entre las que se cuentan la novela Cinco balas para Manuel Acuna (Alfaguara 2009) y el libro de relatos Reinas de corazon. Antes de dedicarse por entero a la escritura, presto sus servicios, entre otros diarios, para El Nacional, Novedades, El Universal, El Financiero, La Jornada y, en fecha reciente, ha colaborado para Milenio-Torreon y El Pais. Como periodista, lo han distinguido con los reconocimientos Fernando Benitez (conferido por la FIL-Guadalajara) y con el Premio Nacional de Periodismo.
