Autorenporträt
Loretta Oleck is a creative artist whose poetry and photography have been published in publications including The Stockholm Review of Literature, The Adirondack Review, The Missing Slate, Obsidian Literature, Black Lawrence Press, So to Speak: Feminist Journal of Language and Art, Right Hand Pointing, Feminist Studies, Picayune Magazine, Poetica Literary Magazine, WordRiot, Mas Tequila, Cultural Weekly, Westchester Review, Laughing Earth Literature, Napalm and Novocain, Synathesia Magazine, The Mom Egg, Commonline Journal, among others. She is a 2016 Pushcart Poetry Prize nominee, as well as the author of Persephone Dreaming of Cherries a haiku e-chapbook (Hurricane Press). Her poetry was filmed for the Public Poetry Series (Fjords Review), included in Best of 2013 Anthology (Storm Cycle), and performed at the Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art (Peekskill, NY). She received a BS from Northwestern University, an MA in Creative Writing from New York University, and an MSW from Fordham University. She is a psychotherapist in private practice, has a son and a daughter, and lives in Ossining, NY.
