This is Bruce Plant's first book. It is a journey from innocence to enlightenment, a joyful and wise evocation of childhood in images and song. It depicts a world in which the simple, the light, and the profound merge, often in paradox, always in beauty. Its wisdom has an ageless tone, carrying the eternal message of rebirth and renewal. Children will love these little poems. They are as simple and memorable as nursery rhymes, and they echo with a resonance of timelessness. They are also fun. After all, the words are there for those who can't read the pictures.

Autorenporträt
I began writing creatively at 16 years of age. In 1976, towards the end of my student life, I was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was hospitalized for three months. Despite a major disruption in my life, I graduated with an Bachelor of Arts Degree from Melbourne University in 1978, majoring in English Literature and Fine Arts. During the following three decades I worked in jobs ranging from taxi driving to proof reading to door-to-door sales to bar work. In 2005 I moved from Melbourne to regional Victoria. Since 2005 I have devoted all my time to painting and writing and caring for my wife, who suffers from Bi-Polar Disorder. We live in Korumburra, in regional Victoria, Australia. I am also a volunteer Art Therapy mentor and exhibit my artwork in Melbourne and locally.
