Authors Valerie Sherer Mathes, professor emerita of City College of San Francisco, who has written books on early 19th-century California writer Helen Hunt Jackson, and Standing Bear, a Ponca chief, and Depot Park Museum curator Diane Moll Smith, have tracked down the finest images in the museum's large collection. They have also sought out other local private collections to create the itinerary for this fascinating visual journey though Sonoma Valley's past.
