Autorenporträt

Erica Pelton Villnave studied illustrations at The Maryland Institute College of Art. She is the illustrator of a number of books for children, including Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone? by Laura Gates Galvin and Nobody's Perfect by Ellen Flanagan Burns. Sophie's Lovely Locks is the first book that Erica has both written and illustrated. She was inspired to write this story by several friends, whose daughters have grown their hair long in order to donate it. Erica shares her home in upstate New York with her family.
