Like a war-time blitz, in March 2020 our lives were turned upside down. We had never lived through anything like this before. All aspects of our lives were changed. From how we worked, to how we exercised. From how our children were educated to how we bought our weekly shopping. Our basic family interactions were curtailed, and we all sat down every evening to hear what we were to do next. This book takes you through the weeks of the pandemic with thoughts, verse and short stories which describe some of the experiences we all went through. Autorenporträt
Jerry Bignell lives in the heart of rural Oxfordshire. His house was built in the garden of his neighbours and for that reason it is called The Potting Shed. He writes poems, prose and short stories in a small studio in his little garden. Originally a craft studio his wife used; he stole it from her in March 2020 when the pandemic hit. 'Sorry, We Are Closed' is Jerry's debut work and he is currently working on the second.
