Autorenporträt
I was the first born of five siblings. My mother worked two jobs, when left alone to raise five (5) children. My mother started me in the kitchen when I was 12-13. When she couldn't be home, because of work, my grandmother would let me go in the kitchen with her and show me how to make biscuits, greens and cook chicken different ways. My brother would eat anything I would cook. I love him for that. Today we have mothers that work two jobs and can't spend much time in the kitchen I am here to offer those teens and young adults a chance to start learning to cook. Some of these recipes are from my mother and grandmother. I just hope to think I have made them a little more nutritious. My aim is to please you with soul food cooking and hope that someday I will be teaching that class to teens and young adults that are interested in eating what you like to eat, but made a bit more nutritious. I invite everyone to try my soul food cooking.
