Their spiritual connection leads them on a path of discovery with the aid of an old friend of Celina's, Pastor Melvin Standard, who helped Celina Ray in her time of need. Each member of Jacob's fractured family has a very different reaction to his behavior, some moving closer in compassion and others distancing themselves in fear. His resulting debilitating physical existence also causes a breakdown in his social life, especially with his first love, Susie Polanski, or at least as it appears from his perspective. This confluence of eroding threads in Jacob's life creates the battlefield for Evil's attack and for Goodness' protection, the result of which casts all parties down an unexpected road.

Soul Survival is the first book written by Craig Fleming, a writer, artist and business owner. A sequel to Soul Survival is in the planning stages. Craig and his wife, Sandy have lived in Austin, Texas for twenty years.
