Autorenporträt
Donald Morrill is a professor of English at the University of Tampa and poetry editor of the Tampa Review. He is the author of two previous books of nonfiction, most recently Sounding for Cool, and a book of poetry, At the Bottom of the Sky. He was born in Des Moines, and studied at the University of Florida with UI alumnus and long-time UI Writers' Workshop faculty member Donald Justice. Morrill has worked as a truck driver, forklift operator, frozen food manager, and telephone solicitor. From 1985 to 1987, he taught at Jilin University, Changchun, China, and was a Fulbright Lecturer in American Literature at the University of Lodz, Poland. In 1996, Morrill won the Emerging Writers in Creative Nonfiction Award from Duquesne University Press.
