Uk Heo is Professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He is a Korean native and has widely written on Korean politics and security. His work has appeared in the Journal of Politics, Political Research Quarterly, the British Journal of Political Science, International Studies Quarterly, the Journal of Conflict Resolution, Comparative Politics, Comparative Political Studies, the Journal of Peace Research, International Interactions, Armed Forces and Society, Asian Survey, and others. He is a former President of the Association of Korean Political Studies.
