Autorenporträt
Christie Wright is a Colorado "seminative," who moved to the state after graduating from college in Illinois. After many adventures xploring the high country, she became fascinated with Park County mining camps and later expanded her interest to the county's overall history. Christie worked as a state probation officer in Colorado Springs, Colorado, for over twenty years and has applied her knowledge of Colorado's criminal court system to the historic murder stories in this book. The author previously served as president of the Park County Local History Archives and is a member of Women Writing the West, the Wild West History Association and Western Writers of America. Her previous publications include All That Lies Beneath: Selected Historic Burials in the Alma/Buckskin Cemetery, Park County, Colorado, articles in Park County's Fairplay Flume newspaper, and a geology article, co-authored with Steven W. Veatch, published in New Mexico Geology. Christie now lives in Northern Colorado where she continues to write and enjoys spending time outdoors.
