Local historians Ted and Maxine Hendrick share their affection for Southampton in this engaging pictorial history and offer entertaining and informative captions to enhance the story behind each image. Included in the collection are images of the industrial growth in Southampton, from the railroad that replaced the shortlived New Haven and Northampton Canal to the advent of electricity and telephone systems. The images of noted local photographers Fred Judd and the Howes Brothers are included in Southampton through the generosity and efforts of the Southampton Historical Society.
