Sector 27 is viewed by the Commonwealth as an insignificant poverty-stricken neighborhood. A place where an up-and-coming power broker can show their worth by squeezing water out of a stone. The problem with power and wealth is that those who desire them never have enough. The Commonwealth has degraded into a society where justice and freedom are words without meaning. Colonists are no longer fellow human beings. They are merely tools in service to the jaded desires of the powerful. Victor has imparted his skills and knowledge. But does it matter? Autorenporträt
Tom Burrell resides with his wife in Northern California. When not writing, Tom is busy with their five children and five grandchildren. He has a degree in mechanical engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Before becoming an author, Tom enjoyed a career in the electronic test and measurement industry. Prior to becoming a responsible adult, Tom spent a decade of his youth wandering aimlessly working a long list of jobs. These included lifeguard, swimming instructor, janitor, security guard, grill cook, painter, greenhouse worker, midnight shift convenience store clerk, residential liquor delivery driver, waiter, too many factory jobs to count, day laborer when immediate cash was required, and maker of handmade deer skin cowboy hats. These custom hats were sold by traveling around California to county fairs and other events where people tend to drink too much.
