Autorenporträt
Lisa brings her experience as a theater professional and an educator to her work as a children's book author. As an actor, Lisa was in the Las Vegas Company of "Mamma Mia" at Mandalay Bay Theater from 2007-2009, where she played the role of Lisa and understudied the role of Sophie. In 2010, she and her husband, actor Eric Petersen, welcomed a baby girl into the world on the 1st National Tour of "Shrek: The Musical", where Eric was playing the title character. Lisa went back to school for Child Development, where she shined her love of theater in the classroom for 6 years as a teacher. Their second child, Miles, made his entrance into the world just before the family moved back to NYC for Eric to star as Dewey Finn in "School of Rock: The Musical" on Broadway. Lisa developed a love for picture books while her children were very young and she was a classroom teacher. Anyone who was in Ms. Lisa's class knew that bringing story to stage would be a part of the learning process. Lisa continues to share her "spark" as a Producer, Creative, and Arts Education Leader! Lisa is a proud member of The Dramatists Guild and has created a digital streaming series for children, along with other projects in development.
