With the rapid urbanization and growth of urban population, urban poor is also increasing in the third world cities. Khulna, the third largest city of Bangladesh is one of those cities where native growth of urban population and rural push factors are keeping pressure. Urban poor tends to settle in place where they can invest their unskilled labor easily, minimize the house rent and transportation cost. In order that, they tend to gather near to the industrial area or CBD area although they are seen almost everywhere in the cities. This book provides depiction of spatial variation of problems and prospects of them and causes of such variations which is helpful to seek for better lives of them, the integral part of the third cities' economy. This study tries to find out root causes of problems and better policy recommendations for urban poor when several studies are available on portraying overall idea, problems and recommendations for the improvements urban poor. If this book helps a little for the students, researchers, policy makers as well as related organizations and people who have thirst for knowledge, would be a little success for the author also.
