Kat Smith is a Kiwi and has lived in the Middle East since 2013. She is the author of two other books (specialising in small business), and has been learning how to speak, write, and read Arabic with Maya since 2018, so she understands the challenge of learning a language, and the need to make it as easy and fun as possible. She also has a school-aged child who she supports with her Arabic homework, and the many challenges that also represents! When she's not writing books, you'll find Kat travelling to as many countries as she can, doing handstands at the gym, rescuing animals and coaching small businesses. Kat lives in Dubai with her husband, her daughter, her two rescue cats and her rescue dog.
