Autorenporträt
Mary Murphy is a touchstone to the ancient land of Ireland. Her authenticity garners pride in the Irish-born, takes first-generation immigrants home again, gifts those with Irish roots a taste of inheritance, and ushers those who wish they were a wee bit Irish into an ephemeral union.Murphy's extensive experience as a songwriter first spurred her into taking the plunge into the marvellous and sometimes murky depths of book writing in 2009. Is it any wonder that she writes with such diversity? Mary's insatiable curiosity for life has presented sixteen (and counting) varied pen-to-the-page releases and musical accomplishments. Mary has been a touring musical artist for many years and created a sometimes comical lecture entitled "The Alchemy of Words - A Journey in the Psyche of an Irish Writer.'Novelist, short story writer, poet, children's writer, singer, whistle player and performer, this small but mighty woman fervently embraces her multi-faceted creative fire.
