Countries around the world and international organizations have been working together for decades to implement the pledge of the Salamanca Statement (1994: 1) "education for all" to establish the fundamental right of children with special needs to education. Expressing solidarity with the international proposals and recommendations of The Salamanca Statement (1994), Bangladesh also has been showing a cooperative attitude by developing various programs and policies to support the learning process of children with special needs for several decades. But the lack of appropriate policy direction, limitations in defining and providing guidance about different special needs in children, and lack of expertise make it difficult for teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide appropriate special needs education according to the unique needs of the child. Therefore, this book discusses the various special needs of special children, such as autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome with examples. So that it is possible to identify these special children according to their distinctive characteristics, types, learning strategies, and perceived needs and nourish their latent talents to make their lives creative and potential.
