Dion Nkomo es profesor en la Escuela de Idiomas de la Universidad de Rhodes y candidato a doctorado en la Universidad Stellenbosch, Sudáfrica. Sus intereses académicos son la lexicografía, la terminología y la planificación del lenguaje, especialmente en África. Ha presentado artículos de investigación y publicado otros como artículos de revistas sobre esos temas.
